2021: Our favorite moments
It’s officially 2022 and we are looking forward to an amazing year ahead. The new year typically means a fresh start—another 365 days of opportunity, and at Bolt + Tie that is a hugely exciting thought.
Why, you ask? Because with a year like 2021, how could it not be!?
The halls of our community went from being filled with work crews and the constant banging of construction noise to welcoming new residents, small businesses, and entrepreneurs to South Clarksville. Once the apartments and office suites starting filling up, it only got better from there. Keep reading for our favorite moments of 2021.
The first businesses move into Elevate Office at Bolt + Tie.
Before the residences were finished, Bolt + Tie welcomed the first businesses and entrepreneurs to Elevate Office, located on the first floor of Bolt + Tie.
President of Cornerstone Group and developer of Bolt + Tie, Cory Hoehn, said at the time, “The opening of Elevate Office is a significant milestone in the redevelopment of South Clarksville. The ease of access to start or grow a business at Elevate Office is an exciting opportunity for the professionals in our community, and we are excited to welcome these new businesses to Water Tower Square.”
Bolt + Tie Grand Opening
In late May, Bolt + Tie was ready for its official Grand Opening. Considering how many members of the community joined the celebrations, it’s safe to say that Southern Indiana was ready too.
Development partners, Envoy and Cornerstone Group together with One Southern Indiana hosted a ribbon cutting and reception to show off the newest entrepreneurial community in town.
Monthly Networking Happy Hours
On the second Thursday of each month, Bolt + Tie hosts a networking happy hour for all residents and Elevate Office tenants in the lobby.
Kicking off in June of 2021, happy hours have included Head Shot Mini Sessions from a member of the Elevate Network, live music, and business meet n’ greets to name a few.

kicked off the rooftop concert series
In late summer, Bolt + Tie launched the Rooftop Concert Series. Each month, residents and Elevate Office tenants enjoyed the best view in town paired with great local music from Dean Heckle (twice!), Aqulia Bock, and Greg Tripure.
The state-of-the-art rooftop deck is one of the highlights of life at Bolt + Tie. Overlooking the Louisville skyline, it’s the perfect place to unwind or host a gathering.
Main Street Opens
In November, the Town of Clarksville, Bolt + Tie, and community stakeholders celebrated the opening of the new Main Street in South Clarksville.
Previously named Woerner Avenue, the reconstructed road includes on-street parking, bicycle paths, sidewalks, and parkets for gathering. It marks the next step in the South Clarksville Downtown Master Plan.
